Vitamin K2 is essential to many aspects of health including calcium metabolism, blood clotting and heart health. Some studies are even looking into whether K2 is the missing link between diet and several chronic diseases.

Fun Facts: Discovered in 1929 when studies where done for blood clotting, it was named Vitamin K to represent the scientific name coagulation in another language. Some scientists are convinced that people at risk of heart disease should regularly use vitamin K2 supplements. Others point out that more studies are needed before any solid recommendations can be made.

What's it good for?
One of the most important functions of vitamin K is to control where in your body calcium gets deposited. In other words, it promotes the calcification of bones and prevents the calcification of blood vessels and kidneys. So when you're taking Calcium Citrate (taking K2 alongside) means the calcium will get to where it's going to do the most good.

Getting it in
K2 can be obtained from these foods: Egg Yolk, Cream Powder, Keto Blue Milk, Miso due to it being a fermented food, Liver and other organ meats. But for consistency and the amount needed to be eaten, it is just easier to take a capsule a day.

Dosage - 1 capsule per day is sufficient. While Vitamin K does not have an upper limit for toxicity, at this dose it's sufficient to provide benefits.
