Best tasting
Minimum 1 hour after making but your patience will be hugely rewarded if you wait.
The best time to taste and use is 24 hours after being refrigerated.
Why? Time allows softening of alcohol, so less harsh, the sweetness rounds out, the flavour merges together and thickness stabilises. This liqueur, just like wisdom, improves over time.

Cocktail Inspirations using Irish Cream Liqueur

Using Irish cream liqueur is an excellent way to add instant velvety texture and sweet, vanilla-whiskey flavour to cocktails. Here are some of the best-inspired cocktails using Irish cream, ranging from classic to contemporary.

The Classic & Elevated Classics

Mudslide: The quintessential, decadent frozen dessert cocktail. Recipe: Combine 30ml Irish Cream, 30ml Vodka, 30ml Cafelua Liqueur, and ice; blend until smooth

Irish Cream Martini: A crisp vodka martini with a creamy backbone. Recipe: 50ml Vodka, 70ml Irish Cream, 1 Espresso shot. Shake well with ice and strain into a martini glass

Coffee & Dessert Inspired

Irish Cream Hot Chocolate: Simple but unmatched, adding creamy warmth for cold nights. Recipe: Add 60ml Irish Cream to 100ml hot chocolate, top with whipped cream.

Creative & Modern Twists

Irish Cactus: An unlikely but popular pairing of Irish cream and tequila. Recipe: 50ml Irish Cream, 25ml Tequila (or to taste), served over ice with a cinnamon stick.

S'mores Martini: A dessert-focused, romantic cocktail. Recipe: Mix 30ml Irish Cream, 30ml Vodka, and 30ml Chocolate Liqueur with a squirt of Torani sugar free Toasted Marshmallow syrup.

Baby Guinness Shot: A fun, layered shot that looks like a miniature pint of Guinness. Recipe: 3/4 oz Coffee Liqueur (bottom), 1/4 oz Irish Cream (layered on top)

Best Tips for Irish Cream Cocktails

Shake well: Because cream liqueur is dense, shaking with ice helps mix it properly and creates a better frothy texture.

Balance with Coffee/Vodka: The sweetness of Irish cream pairs best with the bitterness of coffee liqueur or espresso, or the clean finish of vodka.

• Pair with Creamy Liqueurs: It works exceptionally well with other cream-based liqueurs for a thicker drink
