~ Make your own Maple Syrup Recipe
Experience the ultimate, sugar-free Maple Syrup and better yet - you know exactly what has gone into making it. This recipe combines pure maple extract with sweetener options so you can enjoy the texture, taste, and sweetness of syrup without spiking your glycemic index.

- Water split into 1/4 Cup AND 1 + 3/4 Cup water amounts
- 1 teaspoon Xanthan Gum*
- 2/3 Cup of Allulose Sweet as Sugar* chosen for less crystalisation and clean taste from the pure Allulose and pure Monkfruit combined.
1 Cup of Brown Sugar* chosen adding a beautiful amber colour to the mixture, however this may re-crystalise in the end product made.
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon Maple Extract*
- 1 sachet Vanilla Inulin* or 1 tsp vanilla essence
1 - In a small bowl add 1/4 Cup water and 1 teaspoon Xanthan Gum. Stir to combine and let it sit to thicken.
2 - In a small saucepan, add 1 Cup and 3/4 Cups of water, the salt and the sweetener. On low heat bring it to a simmer. Once simmering remove from the heat.
3 - Add the thickened xanthan gum mixture and whisk into the warm liquid. Add the maple and vanilla extracts until combined.
4 - Let the syrup cool completely and it will continue to thicken.
Storage: Store at room temperature, in a sealed bottle for up to 4 weeks.

Why make your own? Alternative sugar-free maple syrups like the Queens brand contain the thickener 466 or sodium carboxymethylcellulose. In testing it has been proven to aggravate food intolerances, it's genetically modified by-product of cotton production and is known to cause cancer and tumours when ingested by test animals.
